The Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) consists of licensed amateurs who have voluntarily registered their qualifications and equipment, with their local ARES leadership, for communications duty in the public service when disaster strikes.
The Scott County ARES net is held every Thursday evening at 7:00 PM on the Eldridge repeater at 146.880 -600 and a PL Tone of 77.0Hz. The net is open to any licensed ham radio operator.
